Playing is free. Nothing of value is asked for a play. Buying a ticket never gives you an extra play and never changes your chances; the page after a purchase only shows you the same play everyone has.

Anyone aged 18 or over. Staff of the organiser and of the venue on the night cannot play. Prizes can only be used at the Tipsy Tuesday night they are drawn for, in Vienna.

Each Tipsy Tuesday night has two tables. The online table plays from Sunday 18:00 until doors open on the night. The table inside plays from doors until the night ends, for guests who have scanned the code at the entrance. You can play each table once per night: one play per person (per email address, with Gmail dots and +aliases counted as the same address) and at most two per phone.

When you press Spin, our server draws a random number with a cryptographic generator and decides the result before the reels move. The reels only show that result. Every play is recorded with its random number and result, so we can show that prizes were given as announced. If something fails, no result is shown and nothing counts as played.

Three alike of a prize symbol wins that prize. The table for each night is shown next to the Spin button, with the chance per play and how many are left; it is fixed when the night's play opens. Once a prize is gone it can no longer be won that night. The usual tables:

Values are what we count each prize as: a ticket at its list price, or for guests already inside the difference between the tickets. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred for money.

Every play also puts one symbol on your card, win or lose: the symbol on the middle reel if your card does not have it yet, otherwise the first one it is missing, in this order: star, crown, disco ball, bottle, wristband, record. So every play counts, and 6 plays fill a card, on either table and whatever the reels show. A full card is free entry for you on the night of the play that filled it: online, your entry pass comes by email; inside, it opens on your phone straight away and comes by email as well. Your next play starts a new card.

The card is a thank-you for playing, not a prize of the draw. Nothing about it is left to chance: the reels only decide which symbol goes on, never whether one does. So it is not part of the prize table, the odds or the prize values above. Your card belongs to the email address you play with (counted the same way as for one play per person), in this city. Plays older than 12 months drop off your card, because that is when we remove your address from them (see Your data).

A prize costs nothing to use. An online prize includes entry: your pass (one per person the prize covers) comes by email and is scanned at the door. A prize won inside is shown on your pass page, which staff tap once when they hand it over. Everything is valid on the night until close. Alcohol only from 18 with ID; alcohol-free is always possible.

To run the game we store your email address, your first name if you give it, and the record of your play (time, table, random number, result, the symbol it put on your card), plus a one-way code for your phone and network so one person cannot play many times. We use it to run the draw, to keep your card, to send you your prize or your entry and to keep the one-play rule. We keep your address for 12 months, then only the anonymous record of the draw remains.

The newsletter is separate: you only get it if you tick the box and confirm by email, and playing never depends on it. We never publish winners. See also our privacy policy.
